Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

With Post Traumatic Stress Disorder not only has a traumatic event occurred, but afterward the victim repeatedly re-experiences the images, sensations, and feelings. Essentially, the trauma never seems to end. The general goal of treatment is to return the client to his/her normal level of development and enable them to place the event into perspective, grow from it, and no longer experience negative side effects.
