Perseus House, Inc. has been a place where youth in need of residential and community-based care have received quality, professional and cutting-edge treatment/ intervention since 1971.

Perseus House, Inc. has various Residential Treatment Facilities (RTF), Intensive Treatment Unit’s (ITU), and Transitional Living Programs (TLP) in addition to our coed Shelter program. We provide a safe, therapeutic environment where clients find success.

Some of our residents are court-ordered through a Pennsylvania County’s Juvenile Probation or Children’s Services Office, while some RTF residents are voluntarily placed through the county’s mental health office. The average length of stay depends on the type of program and the individual treatment goals of each resident.

Boys Residential Treatment Facility (RTF)

Our highly dedicated staff at this facility work with delinquent and child-welfare-dependent boys (ages 12-18) with possible mental health needs.

W. 7th Street Boys Residential Treatment Program (RTF)

The W. 7th Street RTF facility is one of the specialized programs on the continuum of services at Perseus House, Inc. This facility provides focused treatment to adolescent males who have exhibited sexual behavior problems.

Boys Enhanced Residential Treatment Facility (BERTF)

Our highly dedicated staff at this facility provide individualized treatment for Boys ages 12-18 who require enhanced Mental Health supports and Psychiatric care. This is a staff-secure 6-bed facility located in Erie, PA.

Girls Enhanced Residential Treatment Facility (GERTF)

Our highly dedicated staff at this facility provide individualized treatment for Girls ages 12-18 who require enhanced Mental Health supports and Psychiatric care. This is a staff-secure 6-bed facility located in Erie, PA.

Brighter Horizons (RTF)

Our highly dedicated staff at this facility specialize in treatment for adolescent females ages 12-18 with diagnoses of mental illness that have had mental health inpatient admissions and are not currently a danger to themselves or others.

Andromeda House (RTF)

Our highly dedicated staff at this facility work with delinquent and child-welfare dependent girls (ages 12-18) with mental health needs. This is a 12-bed facility located at our rural facility 40-minutes south of Erie, PA. in Spartansburg, PA.

Andromeda Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU)

At Andromeda House ITU our goal is to effectively intervene in the lives of seriously at-risk adolescent females to assist them in avoiding future contact with the juvenile justice and child welfare systems, and to help them toward successful adulthood.

Shelter

Our highly dedicated staff at this facility provide a safe and secure environment for boys and girls who are awaiting disposition hearings – court judgments for delinquent behavior or because of child welfare dependency needs.

Transitional Living Program (TLP)

Our highly dedicated staff at this facility provide a safe and secure environment for boys and girls who are in need of a discharge resource. Clients in TLP live in an independent apartment complex, with 24/7 on-site supervision. Clients are taught the skills needed to live independently.
