Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an integral part of our programming at Perseus House, Inc., and community members are welcome. There are no degree requirements, however, all volunteers must be at least eighteen years of age.

Volunteers are required to hold Child Abuse History (Act 33), Criminal History Record (Act 34) clearances, and FBI background clearance that are current, obtained within the last 90 days. These forms are available at the Office of Children and Youth, or through the Coordinator of Volunteer Programs for Perseus House, Inc.
Volunteers help provide extra assistance to clients and staff, including but not limited to:

  • Tutoring students in areas of deficiency
  • Assisting students with homework
  • Communicating with facility staff
  • Assisting facility staff at varying levels, depending on both the facility and other necessary duties and requirements (Applicable to interns only)
