Internship Opportunities
Internships are generally completed by college students seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Internships are an integral part of our programming at Perseus House, Inc., and are generally college students. There are no degree requirements, however, all interns must be at least eighteen years of age.
Interns are required to hold Child Abuse History (Act 33) and Criminal History Record (Act 34) clearances that are current, obtained within the last 90 days. These forms are available at the Office of Children and Youth, or through the Coordinator of Volunteer Programs for Perseus House, Inc.
Interns help provide extra assistance and insight to facility staff, and their hours range from four hours to 900 hours. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Tutoring students in areas of deficiency
- Assisting students with homework
- Communicating with facility staff
- Assisting facility staff at varying levels, depending on both the facility and other necessary duties and requirements (Applicable to interns only)
