Coordinated Incorrigibility Resources,
a Community Linked for Effectiveness (CIRCLE)
The CIRCLE initiative is a referral; system for families
in need of professional services for dealing with incorrigibility,
or youth who are out of the reasonable control of parents,
teachers, and other legitimate authorities, but not yet delinquent.
The CIRCLE initiative accepts referrals from all Erie County
agencies, schools, and citizens, Monday through Friday,
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Developed in response to the need for a centralized screening,
intake, referral, and tracking service for incorrigible youth,
the CIRCLE initiative provides assistance through a
referral process:
Initial Referral
A family in need of support for their incorrigible child
is referred to the CIRCLE initiative
Parent/Guardian calls CIRCLE
Assessment
Community Resource Specialist conducts telephone assessment
Referral Options
Community Resource Specialist provides referral options
to the troubledfamily and begins the tracking process
Parent/Guardian Contacts Referral Source
72-Hour Follow Up
Community Resource Sepcialist follows up with the family
within 72 hours by telephone, completing the tracking process
