I just wanted to write you a quick note. I know I haven't been the best student, and I sincerely appreciate how you have been concerned about me and my education. I want to achieve so bad! It's just so hard right now, but I am putting a great effort in so I can achieve and live to my full potential.

I have so many people counting on me, even [me]. I want to graduate by June, and even though my chances may be slim, I am still going to try my very hardest.

I guess what I am trying to say is thank you for not giving up on me when you could have a long time ago. Your understanding [has] motivated me to succeed and I could never thank you enough for that.

I promise I will try my hardest so I can make my parents; you; and most of all, myself, proud. Once again, thank you for your kindness and sincere understanding.
