Greetings from the Music Department!

We are so proud of our ladies here at Leadership: Kiiev Glover, Ana Hatcher, Caitlin Cannon, A’Raybia Grogan, and Kirstie Jordan! And… Devin Roberts from Hamilton Center who were chosen to represent us in the Young People’s Chorus of Erie. All of these students will be receiving a $275 scholarship which will cover the cost of enrollment into the choir.

The YPC of Erie is hosted by Penn State, The Behrend College and will offer our students the opportunity for greater access to music and the arts regardless of racial, religious, or socioeconomic boundaries. Through this organization, our students will be offered the chance to explore and develop their musical talents while working with others of differing backgrounds and experiences. They will be asked to meet standards in skills, attitude, and attendance as well as have the opportunity to perform and tour in many different venues throughout the school year and summer months.

Please make sure if you see one of these students that you congratulate them and remind them that it was a great honor to have been hand-picked by the director and founder of the group himself. He commented to me when the auditions were over that… ”You have a very talented group of students here. I am pleased to have them be a part of our organization.”
