Boys Intensive Treatment Program (ITP)

Boys Intensive Treatment Program at Perseus House in Erie, PAOur aim is to effectively intervene in the lives of seriously troubled, sexually acting out adolescent males to assist them in avoiding future contact with the juvenile justice and child welfare systems and encourage them toward successful adulthood. Successful adjustment is accomplished with treatment designed to strengthen the resident’s sense of ethics, degree of responsibility and level of maturity, as well as decrease risk to re-offend.  Strengthening healthy relationships, fulfilling legal obligations and employability preparation are also encouraged.

Staff at this facility provide individualized treatment for delinquent and child-welfare dependent boys (ages twelve to eighteen) who exhibit impairments in several areas of daily life. These areas include legal, educational, family, social, and psychological functioning, as well as problem sexual behaviors. This is a staff-secure, 10-bed facility located in downtown Erie.
